SNOWFALL LEAVES THREE VILLAGES WITHOUT ELECTRICITY IN BULGARIA’S SMOLYAN REGION

Three villages in the region of Smolyan in the Rhodopi Mountains were left without electricity after heavy snowfall on November 11 and 12, Civil Protection National Service said.

Emergency teams of the electricity distribution company EVN were on the spot for repairs, Focus news agency reported.

Regional police spokesperson Dobrinka Angelieva said that roads, located higher in the mountain, were icy, but had been covered with sand and  were safe.
