Bulgarian snowboarder Alexandra Zhekova won the silver in the third competition of the Snowboard Cross World Cup for women held in the US winter resort of Lake Placid.
Zhekova's participation in the tournament marked her best performance for the season and in her entire career, Bulgarian National Radio reported.
Zhekova ranked third in the World Cup snowboard chamiponship held in Kronplatz, Italy in 2006.
World chamipon Lindsey Jacobellis from US ranked first and Nowegian Helene Olafsen took the third position.
