The defamation trial of the five Bulgarian nurses already sentenced to death for intentional HIV infection will probably be postponed as their lawyer Osman Bizanti is out of Libya.
The sitting was scheduled for March 25 2007, Bulgarian National Radio (BNR) reported.
According to the nurses Libyan officers tortured them into confessing guilt. The officers launched the defamation trial, demanding compensation for the claims.
Bizanti let the Bulgarian attorney of the nurses Hari Haralambiev represent the defendants. The second Bulgarian attorney Georgi Gatev will leave for Libya on March 24 2007.
Most probably Bulgarian media will be denied the right to attend the court sitting, BNR said.
