The second stage for submitting offers for the purchase of Bulgarian Telecommunications Company (BTC) will end on March 23 2007.
After the end of the first stage, six candidates have received the right to bid for the company, Dnevnik daily said.
They were selected after the first stage of the tender in February 2007.
Candidates approved so far are two strategic investors and four investment funds.
Rumors for BTC’s sale began in the beginning of 2006 when Novator Holdings got an option to purchase 65 per cent of the company’s current owner Viva Ventures, Dnevnik said.
In the January 2007 Novator holdings hired Lehman Brothers for consultant in the eventual acquisition.
