A six-month-old baby was injured in the hand during a shooting which took place in the evening of July 11 in the residential complex of Belite Brezi.
The baby was admitted to Sofia’s Pirogov emergency hospital and has undergone surgery. The mother and father of the baby were also injured in the incident, Focus news agency reported.
The baby's mother comes from Serbia and the father is Macedonian.
Pirogov doctors could not say whether the baby would have lifelong problems with its hand.
Another Macedonian was admitted to Sofia’s military hospital after being injured in the head.
Another shooting took place in Sofia on the same day. Manol Velev, sports adviser to Bulgaria’s President and husband of State Agency for Youth and Sports (SAYS) head Vessela Lecheva, was shot in the head and twice in the body and is currently in a coma.
