Bulgarian tennis player Sesil Karatancheva won the Sunrise tennis tournament in Arizona, US with a 6:2, 4:6, 6:4 victory in the finals over American tennis player Angela Haynes.
A two-year ban to play in tournaments had been imposed on Karatancheva for using forbidden stimulants.
Karatancheva showed excellent game and left no chance to her rivals in Arizona, Focus news agency said.
Karatancheva won four matches in the qualifications to enter the tournament and afterwards no one could stop her on her way to the title.
The 18-year-old Bulgarian will most probably not play in other tournaments until Bulgaria’s participation in the Fed Cup in Budapest at the end of January.
