Bulgaria and Serbia signed a memorandum for Eurointegration and co-operation under the Partnership for Peace programme.
Bulgaria was aware of the interest and the benefits if the whole Balkan region would be “one family”, Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin said after meeting his Serbian counterpart Vuk Jeremić.
The bipartite relations were very important to Bulgaria, Kalfin said.
Bulgaria’s Foreign Ministry was working hard on additionally easing the visa regime and cross-border traffic between Bulgaria and Serbia, as well as on easing the visa regime for Serbians to the EU.
“We will have the opportunity to work on large infrastructure projects, which make our two countries part of a major infrastructure junction.” Kalfin said.
Kalfin said that both countries had an “active agenda” of matter s that are important to their citizens and would do everything possible to continue intensive co-operation.
