Bulgarian volleyball team won a 3:1 victory over Egypt, its second victory in the FIVB Volleyball Men’s World Cup 2007 in Japan.
Bulgaria started the match well, but risked to loose after it lost concentration in the last two games, Focus news agency reported.
Bulgarian Todor Alexiev was announced as player of the game. Alexiev scored 13 points in the match.
Martin Stoev, Bulgaria’s coach, said that he was pleased with the victory. The team played better in every match. We didn't plan to lose anything, he said.
The World Cup is a qualification for the Olympic Games and the top three teams in the ranking would play at the Beijing 2008 games.
On November 18 2007, Bulgaria won by 3:1 its match over the European champion Spain on the first day of the tournament.
