The second Bulgarian edition of the reality show Survivor was launched on September 24 2007.

Private channel bTV would air the show every workday evening at 8pm, avtora.com said. Each Monday at 9pm the channel would air a life show, discussing the development of the season.

According to the organisers, the new edition was more dynamic, tough and real and offers more excitement to the audience.

The new season had 52 episodes, 15 of which are already edited and ready to be shown.

Evtim Milushev, producer of the show, said that the second season was shot in a three-day cycle. On the first day the contestants played for a prize, on the second day, for immunity and on the third day was the tribe council at which some one had to leave, he said.

Curious facts are that the 22 participants did not change their clothes even once during their stay, they all lost a total of 160kg and only two of them did not ask for medical aid.

Survivor is a reality show in which a certain number of participants, divided in tribes, are sent to isolated location somewhere on the Earth. They compete first as team and on later stage of the game independently in various games, testing their physical and mental strength, while they have to make strategic alliances to reach the finals. Tribe councils of the defeated team decide who has to leave the game.
