Consultants for the sale of Bulgaria’s cigarette producer Bulgartabac Holding suggested that details related to the privatisation of the holding are discussed in a virtual information room.
Such discussion could guarantee transparency and publicity in the sale of Plovdiv factory Iurii Gagarin BT, Focus news agency reported.
Information on the sale of Iurii Gagarin BT would be made available at www.gagarin-dataroom.com. The information would be available for investors, as well.
Potential buyers would get the chance to ask questions concerning the sale online. Both questions and answers would be available for public viewing, Focus news agency reported.
The virtual information room would be up and running until the finalisation of the sale procedure. A date for the launch of privatisation procedures would be announced in mid-September.
Iurii Gagarin BT would be offered for sale on the Bulgarian Stock Exchange. The holding’s board approved the mode of sale in the end of June 2006, Focus reported. The strategy enabled the access of a big number of investors.
The factory is specialised in the production of cigarette packaging. It is part of the holding group and includes a printing facility, cigarette filter production plant, as well as spare equipment storage areas.
