RUSSIAN TOURISM EXPO PRESENTS BULGARIA AS YEAR- ROUND DESTINATION

Bulgaria will take part in the second Intour Market (ITM) 2007 tourism expo launched in Moscow on March 19, State Agency for Tourism (SAT) said.

SAT head Anelia Kroushkova will meet representatives of leading Russian tour operators and media during the exhibition, Focus news agency reported.

Among the organisers of the event are the Russian government, the federal agency for tourism and federal air transport agency.

According to the organisers' data the exhibition will include 800 participants from the Russian region and 50 other countries. Nearly 70 000 people visited the exhibition in 2006.

The day of Bulgaria is scheduled for March 20, when several groups of Russian tour operators will visit the Bulgarian boot at the exhibition.

The country will present itself as a destination offering opportunities for year-round tourism, Kroushkova said.

Billboards, city boards and banners in the central part of Moscow will present Bulgaria's new advertising vision during the exhibition.
Bulgaria takes part in eight tourism expos in Russia in 2007 thus showing its high interest in the Russian market, Kroushkova told media.

Nearly 215 828 Russian tourists visited Bulgaria in 2006, an increase of 23.12 per cent compared to 2005.
