A week after signing the South Stream agreement with Bulgaria, Russia and Serbia signed an agreement for the construction of the Serbian part of the future South Stream pipeline, BGNes said.
The agreement was signed after negotiations between the Russian president Vladimir Putin and the Serbian government, Bulgarian National Radio said.
During a meeting between Putin and Serbian president Boris Tadic, an agreement was signed on the transfer of a controlling package of shares of Serbian company NIC to Gazprom. Gazprom would receive 51 per cent of the shares, BNR said.
