The ruling parties and above all Bulgarian Socialist Party (BSP) should learn their lesson from Bulgaria’s first members of European Parliament (MEP) elections, President Georgi Purvanov said.
Scandals and corruption controversies are not the reason for the unconvincing performance, Purvanov said.
People failed getting what they needed from the governing majority. Cabinet failed mainly in the social sphere, Purvanov said.
During the second half of the Cabinet’s term in office, ministers should communicate directly with people and should seek solutions of their problems.
Bulgarians do not vote for macroeconomics but for a change in their lives, Purvanov said. The MEP elections voter turnout is the lowest ever registered in Bulgaria, he said.
