Entering 2008 Together was the motto for the New Year's programme organised by the Rousse municipality.

The programme would start at 11.00pm on December 31 2007, on the central square. Folklore dance theatre Naiden Kirov and popular Dicho with his new group would take part in the programme, Dnevnik daily said.

A video projection would let the audience watch the programme up close, and also the New Year's speech by President Georgi Purvanov. In the minutes before that, the mayor of Rousse, Bozjidar Yotov would hold his speech.

Fireworks and a light show would mark the start of the new year.
