ROMANIAN TOURIST VISITS BOOM EXPECTED IN BULGARIA’S GOLDEN SANDS
12:50 Fri 27 Apr 2007

The coastal resort of Golden Sands expects boom in the number of tourist visits from Romania.

Head of the Golden Sands hotel union Grisha Fidanov said that the increased figures will affect mostly St Konstantin resort.

Most Romanians come to Bulgaria in order to spend their weekend in the country’s coastal resorts.

A problem that foreign tourists still face in Bulgaria is the work of unlicensed medical centres in the resorts, Fidanov said.

The Varna regional health inspectorate will soon start inspections concerning the medical aid offered to tourists and the availability of emergency centres in the resorts, Fidanov said.
