Romanian pharmaceutical group A&D Pharma has been drafting a programme for regional expansion, investor.bg reported on November 9, quoting reports in Romanian media. At present, Romania was exploring opportunities in Bulgaria, as well as in Ukraine, Slovenia, Macedonia, Croatia, Serbia and Montenegro.
A&D Pharma confirmed the news from investor.bg and added that Bulgaria has been under serious scrutiny, yet declined to give more detailed information.
At present, A&D Pharma has been present only on its home market and in Moldova through its subsidiary Elantis Farm.
A&D Pharma is majority-owned by Dutch investment company Sograno BV, in turn indirectly owned by Smooth Winds Ltd., Breezi Carm Holdings Inc. and Wynding Investments Inc., all registered in the Virgin Islands.
A&D Pharma has been trading on the London Stock Exchange for a year and its market capitalisation at present hovers around 566 million euros. The company is considering floating shares on another bourse, but it is yet to make a final decision.
A&D Pharma reported 199.1 million euro turnover, a 35 per cent year-on-year increase for the first six months of 2007.
