The Rock Marathon concert in Rila will be staged in for fifth consecutive year.

The event, which will be held in the village of Beli Iskar near Borovets mountain resort, will begin on August 24 and end on August 25 2007, Focus news agency reported.

Local celebrities like Signal, Gravity Co, PIF, Konkurent. Vasko Krupkata and Vili Kavaldjiev will take part in the concert. A country music group will also play for the fans at the event.

The event is funded by sponsors, and entrance is free. About 4000 to 5000 people are expected at the event.

Organisers said that the concert was very important for the social and economic development of the population of the region, especially for its self-esteem, as “practically nothing happened in these places.”
