Legendary guitarist Ritchie Blackmore and his band Blackmore’s Night will stage a big concert in Bulgaria as a part of their European tour.

The concert will be held in Sofia’s National Palace of Culture on April 17 2007.

Blackmore’s Night already visited Bulgaria in 1999 and staged two concerts, in Sofia and Plovdiv, avtora.com reported.

Blackmore is founder and former member of the bands Deep Purple and Rainbow.

The guitarist and his wife Candice Night founded the formation Blackmore’s Night in the beginning of the 90’s, avtora said.

Musicians from various parts of the world take part in the formation. Its music mixes new age, ethno, folk, renaissance motifs and rock, accompanied by the sound of mandolin, violin and barrel-organ.

The band takes part in renaissance festivals and stage concert tours, avtora said.
