R&B young star Rihanna will stage a free concert in Bulgaria on November 30 2007.
The concert will be at 7pm held on Sofia’s Ploshtad Batenberg and will last around an hour, avtora.com reported.
Some of Bulgaria’s most popular performers will warm up for the R&B star.
Local Balkan Entertainment Company and mobile operator Vivatel organise the concert. That is why the event will be under the motto Under the Orange Umbrella, as part of Vivatel’s national coverage campaign. Umbrella was the song that made Rihanna world famous.
Vivatel marketing director Lyubov Kirilova said that “the idea to invite Rihanna came naturally, as her hit Umbrella was at the top of all charts and the symbol of our company is an orange umbrella.”
Balkan Entertainment Company manager Petar Petrov said that 25 to 30 000 people were expected to attend the concert.
Rihanna will arrive with a charter flight on the day of the concert and most probably will leave the country right after it.
