Results of the members of European Parliament (MEP) elections in Bulgaria show that the crisis within the right political wing is deepening, United Democratic Forces (UtDF) MP Nadezhda Mihailova said.
Rightist formations failed to gather the support needed to send representatives to the EP. As a result of the missing electoral support, the leadership of rightist Democrats for Strong Bulgaria (DSB) resigned.
People were dissatisfied with rightist policies, Mihailova said, and expressed the discontent through a non-confidence vote for the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF).
UDF has already lost its identity, she said. The party stepped back from the problems of local authorities and people did not see any solution to their problems in the party’s electoral campaign.
