The relatives of the Bulgarian, shot dead on December 24 in the Kosovo town of Uroshevac, were notified immediately after the incident.

Bulgarian diplomatic sources in Pristina said that the woman was shot three times and died on the way to the hospital.

The incident occurred in front of café in the town, Focus news agency reported.

Another Bulgarian accompanied the victim. Local police is searching for a man, in connection to the murder. Motives for the crime are still unclear.

Kosovo police said that the Bulgarian was a representative of an international organisation but was in Kosovo on a private visit.
