Package waste processing company Ecopack started an environmental roadshow covering 89 municipalities in Bulgaria in 2008. The campaign ‘Be modern! Collect separately!’ aims at motivating people to separate their refuse and put it into categories  – plastic, glass, paper, metals – for efficient recycling and recovery. In return for the collected refuse, Ecopack will improve the relevant town’s environment; for every ton of paper packages collected, trees will be donated to the municipality, for every ton of glass packages, it will repair the street lamps and for every ton of plastic and metal refuse, Ecopack will donate energy-saving light-bulbs to kindergartens, hospitals or schools. The roadshow was in Veliko Turnovo on June 30.
