Bulgaria's unemployment level decreased to 8.69 per cent in November 2006.
Labour and Social Policy Minister Emilia Maslarova said that it was a record breaking low level.
Unemployment among people under 29 decreased by 23.2 per cent, Maslarova said as quoted by Darik Radio. The number of people left jobless for a long period of time decreased by more than 14 per cent.
Recruitment increased and 268 000 work places were being offered on the labour market.
Salaries in Bulgaria was raising two times faster than those in other European countries, Maslarova also said while presenting the work of the Labour and Social Policy Ministry.
Minimal salary raised by 20 per cent during current government's mandate. The average salary reached 354 leva per month which is by 14 per cent higher than the figures for 2005.
