REAL ESTATE DEAL ON HOLD UNTIL THE END OF ELECTIONS
02:00 Tue 21 Jun 2005

Real estate deals along Bulgaria's north coast have been at a standstill for the past two months, local businessmen said. Bulgarian and foreign buyers are waiting for the results of the June 25 elections. Another reason is that British companies have been replaced by Bulgarian ones. Bulgarian real estate companies are less popular with foreigners because of the high commissions demanded.
No offers had been made for five properties next to Shabla resort, presented for the second time at an auction today. The initial price is 22 leva per sq m. The properties have been entered into a second auction since no buyers emerged at the first one during March. If the auction today takes place, the prices may rise to more than 20 euro per sq m, local real estate dealers said. (Standart)
