Between 2000 and 3000 State Railways employees will protest on April 12, labour unions said.
KNSB labour union representative Petar Bounev said that since the beginning of the year the income of some railways employees decreased by nearly 30 leva.
The decrease was significant taking into consideration that the average wage remained below 300 leva, Bounev said.
Bounev said that a 26 per cent increase was offered to only half of the State Railways employees. Nearly five per cent of the employees were fired, he said.
Sofia public transportation employees said that they might join the protest. Wages in public transportation were critically low and the majority of employees worked overtime, Focus news agency reported.
