British band Radiohead has lent a fragment of their song I Will to the Bulgarian branch of the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF). A television video featuring the song has been created as a part of the organisation’s campaign battling climate changes, a WWF media statement said.
It has been long know that musicians from Radiohead are environmentally-conscious, supporting causes related to nature preservation and climate changes. The band even refused to do tours around the world until a reasonable way was found to offset the greenhouse gas emissions released during air travel.
In addition to the television video, the organisation is launching an audio sound-bite to send out the same messages through numerous radio stations. Both can be checked out on the web site of the Bulgarian chapter (www.wwf.bg), where you can also learn about the causes and effects of global warming as well as what could be your own personal contribution to make things better.
The campaign is supported by 50 Bulgarian media outlets and partners.
WWF was founded in 1961 as an international environmental organisation. It currently has branches in 100 countries, more than 4000 employees and five million volunteers.
