“I expect that the contract for the construction of Belene nuclear power plant (NPP) will be signed during the visit of Russian president Vladimir Putin” to Bulgaria, Economy and Energy minister Petar Dimitrov said.
The contract was for the design, supply and construction of two reactors of the NPP by the Russian Atomstroyexport.
We expect Atomstroyexport to deliver on schedule, Focus new agency quoted Dimitrov as saying.
The investment is four billion euro worth. Electricity to be produced would cost 0.036 to 0.037 euro cents per kWh.
