On October 5, Education Minister Daniel Vulchev offered a draft-agreement between the Education Ministry and the teachers’ unions, which envisions a 32-per cent increase in 2008, Focus said.
According to Kroum Kroumov, representative of the teachers’ union, there were 68 million leva savings in the education system in 2007.
Vulchev said that the amount of the saving would become clear on October 15 at the earliest, but these savings could be allocated for teachers’ salaries.
