Bourgas prosecution rejected an agreement proposed by the defence of the double world champion in figure skating Maxim Staviiski, prosecutor Svetlozar Kostov said.
In the beginning of August 2007, Staviiski caused an accident, in which one man died and three other were injured. One of the victims is still in coma. Tests proved alcohol in Staviiski’s blood.
On October 24, Staviiski's defence tabled a proposal for a probational sentence.
Kostov refused the agreement because most of the similar trials of the Bourgas Prosecution ended up with effective sentences, Focus news agency said.
The families of the victims also refused agreement.
The trial documentation would be sent to the regional court within days.
