PropertyWise: Bulgarian ski resorts’ future
09:00 Mon 27 Nov 2006

Winter is here, but still  there is no snow in Sofia. The weather is just fine. The last thing that Sofia’s people need is snow.

But there are people crossing their  fingers for the snow to come right away. And we’re not talking about ski and snowboard maniacs.

These people are entrepreneurs and property brokers in Bansko, Pamporovo and Borovets, who are eager for the winter season to start. The next few months will give a fairly accurate idea whether the holiday home market will be affected by Bulgaria’s EU accession and whether promises of profit given to apartment buyers in the resorts will be fulfilled.

What is the real situation in Bulgaria’s main ski resorts? Is the rosy picture of Bulgaria’s real estate market drawn by property developers and agents realistic?  Is it really a good idea to invest in Bulgaria’s ski resorts?

The second issue of PropertyWise magazine, on sale at newsstands and leading hotels from November 24, gives you the answers. After the well-received first issue, PropertyWise again offers reliable coverage of real estate matters. Also in the latest PropertyWise: where to buy in Sofia - downtown or out of town; what’s next on the Bulgarian office market; golf courses - a rescue for the Black Sea coast investments.
