More than 80 construction and investment companies, more than 15 real estate agencies and 10 finance companies will present their products at this year’s Imoti Expo (Real Estate Expo) Spring 2006.
The forum will take place between April 27 and 29 at the Inter Expo Centre. Imoti Expo Ltd and Bulgarreklama are the organisers of the event, and the Bulgarian Telecommunication Company is sponsoring the exhibition.
Apartment buildings and complexes, vacation villages, hotels and office property feature among the products to be presented during the forum.
Imoti Expo will take place at the same time as the second international specialised exhibition of upstream and downstream equipment and technology for the petroleum sector in South Eastern Europe. The fair, named Petroleum, will be held in another hall of the Inter Expo Centre.
More than 320 projects will be presented at Imoti Expo Spring 2006. The increased number of participants since the first years of the fair is an indicator of the increased demand and supply on the Bulgarian property market.
During the first exhibition in 2004, projects worth 500 million euro were presented. According to national statistics, the growth rate in the sector varies between 15 and 20 per cent annually. The increase results from the dynamic transactions in the sector and the overall economic development, credit expansion, and investment activity.
The third exhibition, which took place in October 2005, drew more than 300 investment projects, worth more than one billion euro. It experienced significant и и investor interest and reflected the long-term tendency for increased supply on the Bulgarian property market.
The leading segment of the real estate market appears to be housing property. The share of vacation property and investments in hotel construction also saw an increase. A significant development was also registered concerning office and industrial property.
Bank and financial institutions represent 10 per cent of the exhibition participants. United Bulgarian Bank, Hebros Bank, HVB Biochim, First Investment Bank, DSK Bank, Post Bank, Raiffeisen Bank Bulgaria, Allianz Bank and Piraeus Bank traditionally offer different forms of credits and financing means.
All sectors of the real estate market have been presented in the previous Imoti Expo editions. According to experts, trade and logistics centres will become increasingly attractive. The sector already completed the first development stages and is becoming a leading economic sphere through the accumulation of capital and experience. Vacation property along the Black Sea coast, especially in the southern region, remains highly attractive.
Imoti Expo will present some of the major new housing complexes in Sofia, as well as vacation village projects. Such villages will be constructed along the Black Sea coast, as well as in winter resorts like Bansko and Pamporovo.
Investment funds with mixed and foreign participation are becoming increasingly prominent on the Bulgarian property market and are playing an important role. The Bulgarian property market is an attractive opportunity for foreign investors.
Imoti Expo was launched in 2004, as the first significant property exhibition in Bulgaria. It resulted from the dynamic interactions on the market and increased customer interest. The exhibition offers companies the chance to present the latest products offered for sale or rent, including houses, villas, apartments and apartment complexes, hotels, offices, and trade areas. Additional products to be presented include services in the spheres of planning, finance and insurance, property management and business development. The forum is an opportunity for establishing business contacts and the conclusion of deals and agreements.
A new opportunity for obtaining investment information is presented through the new Bulgarian construction-investment virtual database. The information system EST8S.NET gives chance to Bulgarian investors to present their products with a lengthy real-time description. For the first time EST8S.NET Bulgaria Club will participate. Its main activity focuses on the presentation of the Bulgarian market at international fairs in London, Dublin and Moscow.
