Politics

- Projects worth 65 million leva are held hostage to disputes between the authorities, Dnevnik daily reported, saying that a clash between Sofia municipality and the Transport Ministry is holding up several key projects in Sofia, worth over 65 million leva. Among the projects are the one for the renovation of the Central Railway Station, the construction of the road from Brussels boulevard to the new airport terminal and the construction of an intermodal cargo terminal.

- At least four institutions have known about iregularities in the army warehouse near Chelopechene, but did nothing to fix the situation, Sega daily said.

Social

- The residents of Yana village will demand compensations for the fact that Sofia's refuse processing plant will be built near their houses Dnevnik daily reported. 

- The consumer fee paid to doctors will be abolished from January 1 2009, Monitor daily said.

Economy

- Hotel owners expected electricity failures at Bulgaria's Black Sea resort of Slunchev Sunny Beach to continue, Dnevnik daily said, reporting that in the morning of July 5, the resort and other settlements in the region from Nessebur to Pomorie were left without electricity for several hours, which infuriated the tourists on holiday there and caused considerable problems to hoteliers.

- Prices are falling, Standart daily reported, saying that in June the prices of all foodstuffs went down.
