- The Defence Ministry would sell 243 plots, minister Nikolai Tsonev said, as quoted by Dnevnik daily. Tsonev called on the media to observe the transparency of the deals.
- Dairy producers would continue protesting until State Fund Agriculture paid them the subsidies for quality milk for March, April and July 2008, Dnevnik said.
Social
- The names of popular late criminal bosses still exist in the commercial registers as directors of companies, an investigation of Monitor daily showed. The companies in question had even been re-registered recently.
Economy
- Only Bulgarian companies Trace Group and Holding Putishta were capable of meeting the tender requirements for the construction of the Trakiya Highway stretch between the towns of Nova Zagora and Yambol, Dnevnik said.
- The bonds issued by Kremikovtzi, which use the steel mill's stock and assets as collateral, reached new record-breaking low levels and are now trading at 30 per cent of par value, Dnevnik said.
