The main reason for child sales in Bulgaria is poverty, the website of German television NDR said.
NDR comments the increased child trafficking from Bulgaria to Greece.
An official from the Greek town of Volos said that an increasing number of pregnant Bulgarian women come to Volos, where Greek couples adopt their children.
NDR refers to the investigation of Greek journalist Dimitris Chalas who said that Volos is a ''super baby market'' which attracts Greek couples to come and buy children.
The mainly Roma-populated Bulgarian village of Komluca is among the main baby suppliers of Volos. The paper told the story of a woman who sold one of her five children in Greece. The woman received 3500 euro for her nine-month daughter.
The article quoted Bulgarian police officers who said that the trade with children is part of an organised Bulgarian-Greek net of intermediaries, doctors and lawyers.
Greek authorities said that trade with children is difficult to be stopped since all adoption procedures were provided with legal documents.
