POLICE IN BULGARIA’S ROUSSE BUSTS DRUGS-RELATED CRIMINAL GROUP

Police in the town of Rousse busted an organised criminal group that monopolised the drug market and sex services in the region of Rousse.

Mediapol.bg reported that police detained 10 people aged 19 to 36, among whom the leader of the group. The detainees are from Rousse. Some of them have criminal past.

The operation involved 150 police officers who seized six kg marihuana, 150gr of heroin, amphetamines and a large amount of money, mobile phones and weapon.

During the operation in a hotel in the centre of the town and in a café, police found 12 women aged 18 to 23, used for sex services at prices from 130 to 150 leva. Almost all women were addicted to narcotic substances.

The criminal group controlled almost 90 per cent of drug market in Rousse.
