A day after the murder of businessman and Lokomotiv Plovdiv football club president Alexander Tasev, police said that they are working on several crime scenarios.
Prosecutor Roman Vassilev said that investigators are focusing on Tasev’s personal and business interests.
Tasev was shot dead on the morning of May 14 in Sofia’s residential district of Boyana.
On May 15, Interior Minister Roumen Petkov said that police investigated Tasev in 2001. It is unclear why the investigation was never finalised.
Tasev participated in more than 240 companies, Petkov said. Yet, no conclusions could be reached yet, he said.
It is too early to talk about a political murder, Petkov said.
