Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Sergei Stanishev is on a visit to India between September 10 and 15 2007.
It would be the first visit of a Bulgarian PM in the past 30 years, a Cabinet press release said. Justice Minister Miglena Tacheva and Labour, Social Policy Minister Emilia Maslarova and Economy and Energy Minister Petar Dimitruv accompanied Stanishev on his visit.
Stanishev’s visit would aim at strengthening the relations between the two countries after Bulgaria joined the European Union.
Bulgaria’s PM would meet his Indian president Pratibha Patil, vice president Hamid Ansari, Indian parliament’s lower house spokesperson Somnath Chatterjee, as well as his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh.
Stanishev would also meet members of the association for Bulgarian-Indian friendship, the press release said.
A two-day Bulgarian-Indian business forum would accompany Stanishev’s visit to the country.
