Head of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee Solomon Passy represents Bulgaria at the summit of EU heads of foreign affairs committees.
The forum is taking place in Berlin.
Bulgaria participates in such summit as a full-fledged EU member state for the first time.
Some of the main topics of discussion include the priorities of the German EU presidency, as well as common European energy policies.
Security and stability of the Balkan region also featured among the topics, Focus news agency reported. The status of Kosovo was one of the strongly emphasised issues.
During a meeting with Germany’s foreign minister Frank-Walter Steinmeier Passy thanked Germany for its support in finding ways to change the outcome of the trial of the five Bulgarian nurses sentenced to death for intentional HIV infection in Libya.
On February 27 EU high representative for Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) Javier Solana is expected to present the newest CFSP priorities.
