By 2013, three per cent of the foodstuffs made in Bulgaria should be produced in an organic way, according to Bulgaria's national plan for development of organic farming 2006-2013, Deputy Agriculture and Food Minister Dimitar Peichev told a news conference.
Some 164 million leva were allocated for the implementation of the plan, he added.
The same plan envisioned that the share of environment-friendly cultivated land should reach eight per cent, Peichev said as quoted by Focus news agency.
Practical scientific studies, education and consultancies in the organic farming will also be funded under the programme.
