Stanishev said that more than 2.6 per cent of GDP had to be provided annually for the modernisation of the Bulgarian army. New ways of attracting investments to Bulgaria had to be sought, including offset.

Stanishev said before the leading foreign military companies, which were present at the forum that Bulgaria had potential for partnership in the military industry.

The main aim of Bulgaria's government will be offset deals, which could guarantee the success of the country's partnership in this sphere.
