A note from the families of the Libyan children does not require the extradition from Bulgaria of the Bulgarian nurses freed from Libyan captivity where they were being held on charges of intentional HIV infection.
The medics were pardoned by the Bulgarian government upon their arrival in Bulgaria on July 24.
Alexandar Olshevski, Bulgarian Ambassador to Libya, said in an interview for BTV "I am informed by the Bulgarian embassy in Tripoli for the discontent of the Libyan country from the pardoning of the medics in Bulgaria, but according to my information there isn’t a request for any concrete measures."
The agreement for co-operation does not say that the Bulgarian medics are eligible for pardoning, Olshevski said.
Prosecutor in Chief Boris Velchev and the Ministry of Justice have studied options for quick pardon, according to Focus news agency.
