Bulgaria made no significant progress in the fight against corruption over the past four years, Dimitar Kyumyurdjiev, executive director of the Transparency Without Borders association managing council said.
Transparency Without Borders conducted a study in 180 countries on the index of corruption perception, Focus news agency reported.
Bulgaria ranks 64th in the fight against corruption index. Croatia and Turkey follow in the ranking.
Kyumyurdjiev said that “Bulgaria continues being a steadily corrupted country.”
Bulgaria’s corruption perception index went slightly up after the country’s EU accession, he said.
