The Cabinet had not decided yet to send Bulgarian troops as part of the UN mission in Lebanon, Darik Radio reported.
Bulgaria still analysed the situation in Lebanon and consulted the EU countries, Foreign Minister Ivailo Kalfin told National Asembly. It took part in all the UN forums on sending troops to Lebanon.
Before taking a decision Bulgaria needed to know the format of the UN mission, Kalfin said. Only then Bulgaria could offer taking part in the mission.
It was absurd that Bulgarian soldiers were going to take part in the disarmament in Lebanon, Kalfin said.
Bulgaria made no preparations till now. Its participation could involve the sending of troops or medical teams, Kalfin said.
