National Movement for Stability and Progress (NMSP) members of Parliament are to propose a package of draft laws on health care at the beginning of 2008.
This was announced by Antonia Purvanova, an NMSP member of Parliament’s committee on health, to delegates at the 45th special congress of the Bulgarian Medical Association (BLS), Focus news agency reported.
Purvanova said that because the ruling coalition still had not adopted the national strategy for the development of health care, the package of proposed laws would urge the coalition to move forward in the reform.
Later, she told Parliament that she would call on the Health Ministry and the National Health Insurance Fund (NHIF) to come out with a clear concept on the development of the sector, Focus said.
