NIGEL KENNEDY TO PLAY IN BULGARIA AGAIN IN OCTOBER 2007

Virtuoso violinist Nigel Kennedy will come for a third time to Bulgaria in the autumn of 2007, after having performed here in 1999 and 2005.

Kennedy will stage two concerts in the country, in Varna on October 3 and in Sofia on October 5, netinfo.bg reported.

The violinist will play with the Classic FM Radio orchestra during his concert in Sofia, to be held in Hall 1 of the National Palace of Culture. The event will include Beethoven and Mozart compositions. The Varna concert will be held in the Palace of Culture and Sport.

Ticket will go on sale starting August 25 2007. Prices range from 30 to 100 leva.

Kennedy is the most prominent pupil of Yehudi Menuhin, who paid Kennedy’s tuition at the Yehudi Menuhin School.

The virtuoso has staged concerts on four continents and has played with the most famous orchestras and conductors in the world. He has won all the prestigious awards for classic music.

Kennedy’s recording of The Four Seasons by Antonio Vivaldi was included in the Guinness Book World of Records as the best-selling classic album in the history of music.
