Starting December 27 2006 a second passenger terminal is to start functioning at Sofia Airport.
The new terminal will have 38 check-in booths and seven passenger gateways.
Previously Transport Minister Petar Moutafchiev said that the new terminal would be able to manage annual passenger traffic of 2.6 million people.
A number of aviation companies have already decided to move their activities to the new passenger terminal.
Among the companies to operate at the new passenger terminal are Bulgaria Air, Hemus Air, Cyprus Airways and Viaggio Air.
New public transportation line will be opened, traveling directly to the new terminal, Darik Radio reported.
The new line will start functioning at 9am on December 27.
