A new administrative unit will counteract organised crime and corruption, Prosecutor-General Boris Velchev said.
The aim of the new office will be to use the best human resources of the prosecution, said Velchev. The new unit will be created by the end of this week or in the beginning of the next, Focus news agency reported.
Such institution is needed, since a third deputy Prosecutor-General dealing with corruption will not be appointed.
Through the creation of the new office prosecutors will get the chance to get experience and specialised knowledge in the field of corruption fighting.
The new unit will be under the supervision of the Prosecutor-General. Velchev said the names of prosecutors who will work in the new office are already known.
In the shortest time period such offices will start functioning in the Sofia City Prosecution, as well as in regional prosecutions.
Media, citizens and investors will be able to submit corruption signals to the new office.
