The new ice skating rink planned for Bansko is to be built by the end of July.

Mayor Alexander Kravarov said that the project is to be sponsored by the company Ulen, which already manages all the ski and snowboard facilities in Bansko. The ice skating rink in Bansko is to be the largest in Bulgaria.

“We intend to make it for the guests of the town and also for the children of Bansko,” Kravarov said.

According to project plans, four more sport sites and a multifunctional hall with 5000 seats are going to be built.

The whole plan has to be completed by the end of July. City authorities will arrange the base for the new sport centre. A football field and several tennis courts will be built arround the hall.
