New flights to Bulgaria to be launched
16:12 Thu 20 Dec 2007 - Desislava Leshtarska

Low-cost airline easyJet has announced that it would increase the frequency of flights between Sofia and London in response to growing demand, website RealEstateTV reports.

The carrier currently flies to the Bulgarian capital from Gatwick Airport three times a week, although high levels of interest have now prompted it to launch a daily service.

The strong demand suggests that the Bulgarian tourism market will continue grow.

As a result, there will be an increased need for rental accommodation in the most popular tourist areas, enhancing Bulgaria's status as an attraction for overseas property investors.

Good. Now all we need is for EasyJet to change the flight times to later in the day, so travellers from elsewhere in the UK can connect to the flights.

That's great news. Even better news would be if EasyJet would offer a regular service to Varna.

It would be better still if they would start to operate routes from the North of England to Sofia and Bourgas.
