The company approved for buyer of Boyana Film Studios, the American Nu Image, will turn to the prosecution due to the delay in the finalisation of the deal.

Privatisation Agency representatives refuse to sign the agreement, Dnevnik newspaper reported. Nu Image invited state representatives to finalise the deal on March 9 2006, an official statement of the US company to Bulgarian media reads.

The problem does not come from the Privatisation Agency, the institution’s managing director Todor Nikolov said. He said the deal would be concluded only if all legal parameters of the agreement are met.

Nu Image already threatened once to get the prosecution involved, due to a delay in the endorsement of the agreement.

Several days ago representatives of Boyana said the deal has not been finalised and the old board of directors continues managing the studios.
